Four members of the Worcester State University Active Minds Chapter attended the 13th National Active Minds Mental Health on Campus Conference held November 4-at Sacramento State University. Students from campus Active Chapters from 31 states plus Canada came together to learn how to change the conversation around mental health.
Our students participated in three days of interactive trainings around educating their peers about college-student mental health as well as how to reduce stigma and increase help-seeking amongst their peers.
Through its network of chapters, Active Minds “aims to remove the stigma that surrounds mental health issues and create a comfortable environment for an open conversation about mental health issues on campuses nationwide,” according to its website.
