Worcester State students across campus have come together to put on the first-ever Proud Lancer Day this Wednesday, April 8th.

Resulting from a collaboration between different clubs and departments, and organized by the Student Government Association, the event is intended to kickstart a new tradition celebrating university pride and community.

“Our goal is to bring students and the entire Worcester State campus together to celebrate what it means to be a Lancer,” said Brandol Ogando Saladin ’26, who helped organize the event and serves as the university’s student trustee. “Hopefully, it becomes a tradition that brings people together each year.”

Staff and faculty are invited to participate in the festivities. Events include a history presentation, where light breakfast will be provided, a Lancer spirit lunch with mocktails and a themed menu, an afternoon block party, complete with tye dye stations, raffles, tacos and ice cream, and more.
