Lisa Krissoff Boehm (Interim Dean, School of Humanities and Social Sciences) presented a paper, “‘A Little Heaven Here’: 1940s Detroit and the Quest for Social Justice” at the Association of American Geographer’s conference in New York City on February 27.
Boehm was part of a multi-session series on social justice and urban spaces organized by Ted Rutland of Concordia University and Jacob Remes of Empire State.
Approximately 8,500 geographers attended this conference.
