Worcester State University’s Sullivan Academic Center reopened this afternoon after being declared secure by the Massachusetts State Police following a bomb threat.
The anonymous threat was reported at approximately 10:15 a.m. In accordance with standard emergency procedures, the building was evacuated and classes were suspended. Students and staff were notified of the closure via the university website, email and text message.
After receiving an all-clear from State Police, all classes, office hours and activities resumed at 12:30 p.m.
State Police will assist Worcester State Police in the investigation.
