Julie Frechette and Daniel Hunt (Communication) presented their research at the Media Literacy Research Symposium held at Fairfield University in Connecticut on March 21.
Their separate presentations were part of a panel titled “Media Education for a Digital Generation.”
Frechette provided a framework for developing multi-literacies by exploring the necessary skills and competencies for engaging citizens of the digital world.
Hunt provided a visual literacy framework to address contemporary digital expression through photo-sharing on social media sites.
