Worcester State University hosted a delegation of Chinese local government officials for a luncheon and panel discussion with Central Massachusetts leaders on Monday, October 24. WSU representatives are in China now exploring opportunities for future exchange.
The Monday visit was sponsored by WSU, the Molly Bish Center at Anna Maria College, UMass Boston, Worcester County Probate and Family Court, the Robert F. Kennedy Action Corps, and the Institute for Transitional Economies.
The delegation is visited WSU as part of a three-day tour of the region to learn about public finance, taxation, revenue, budgeting and public safety. The delegation is visiting local government officials across the United States throughout October and November.
Following lunch, the delegation attended a panel discussion on municipal services and funding including:
