Criminal Justice Honor Society Inducts 19 Students

On April 26, 2011, 19 Criminal Justice students were inducted in to the Lambda Rho Chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma, the Criminal Justice National Honor Society. Alpha Phi Sigma recognizes students who achieve a 3.2 GPA or higher after 30 credits have been earned at WSU.

This year’s inductees demonstrated leadership and scholarship while balancing academics, home and family, and their work lives. Dr. Stephen A. Morreale, chapter advisor, welcomed the students, family and friends and conducted the induction ceremony. Dr. Robert Brooks, Criminal Justice chair, offered words of encouragement and pride and spoke to the students about the importance of taking advantage of their education and inspiring social change.

The following students were inducted at the 2011 induction: Tina Brideau, Adam Hiatt, Samantha Celko, Kristopher LaCroix, Ryan Clark, Samuel Loretta, Steven Delage, Shannon Mayhew, Frank Deluca, Christopher Miller, Alyssa Eveland, Rebecca Mullen, Taylor Fritschy, Matthew Place, Andrew Frigon, Stephanie Smith, Carl Herrera, Brian Soscia and Gilbert Ynastroza.

Several CJ students remain active members and were inducted last year in the Charter member induction including:
Elizabeth Bitar, Ashley Bornstein, Michael Deveau, Scott Ellis, Matthew Fallon, Nathan Hawkins, Emily Lanier, Katie Palmieri and Allyson Pereira.
