The Communication Sciences and Disorders Department’s docent program with the Worcester Art Museum has been recognized as a national model by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, which has accepted a poster on the project for presentation at the November convention in Florida.
The poster, “Improving Museum Docents’ Speech Intelligibility Through Clear Speech Training,” reflects the work done by Susanna Meyer, Ann Veneziano-Korzec, Linda Larrivee, Katrina Stacy, Katherine Weiss and Alison Hickey.
Larrivee, the dean of the School of Education, Health and Natural Sciences as well as Meyer and Veneziano-Korzec will be presenting at the conference.
