Delta Alpha Pi Recognizes Role of Allies at Induction Ceremony

Delta Alpha Pi recently had their Fourth Annual AccessAbility Awareness Week, during which members recognized and celebrated people who are allies.

According to the Delta Alpha Pi Honor Society, it is “an academic honor society founded to recognize high-achieving students with disabilities who are attending colleges (including community colleges) and universities as undergraduate or graduate students.”

“Allies are members of the campus community who go above and beyond in supporting Delta Alpha Pi and Student Accessibility Services,” said Assistant Dean and Director of Student Accessibility Services Fran Manocchio. “Through their behavior, they demonstrate the value of differences, on a day-to-day basis, and build an inclusive campus community.”

Twenty faculty and staff members were inducted as allies at Delta Alpha Pi’s annual induction ceremony held on Saturday, March 10. They are Demola Adeyemi, Rosemary Ahmadi, Dianna Aquafresca, Amy Berry, Carole Cronin, Jovanny Gonzalez, Roger Greenwell, Mark LaCroix, Annette LaHaye, Laura Melnick, Jeanne Moore, David Needham, Eileen Perez, Christine Pulsifer, Nicole Rosa, Colleen Sullivan, John Tahiliani, Michael Winders, Maribeth Wrobel, and Adam Zahler.
