Allison Dunn (Earth, Environment, and Physics) attended this year’s European Geosciences Union General Assembly in Vienna, Austria from April 17-22. She presented a paper titled “Impacts of land use/land cover change on regional carbon dynamics: an investigation along an urban-to-rural gradient in Massachusetts, USA.”
This research examined the impact of urban development on the movement of carbon dioxide between the atmosphere and biosphere. Dunn’s research and travel was funded by a grant issued by NASA.
Participated in by over 13,000 scientists, the European Geosciences Union Assembly is held every year as a conference to share and discuss new scientific findings and results. This event brings researchers together to discuss topics from the geosciences to space and planetary sciences.
