Guijarro-Donadiós Presents at Universidad Intercontinental of Mexico City Webinar

Antonio Guijarro-Donadiós, Ph.D., associate professor of Spanish in the World Languages Department, and director of the Translation Center, was invited on Oct. 2 to speak at a webinar at the Universidad Intercontinental of Mexico City for the presentation of the volume Introducción a la traductología. Reflexiones en torno a la traducción: pasado, presente y futuro from the French author Mathieu Guidère and translated by Luis Raúl Fernández Acosta.

Guijarro-Donadiós spoke about the importance of the publication of this book focusing on the scope, audience, and research lines that it opens. The School of Translation, Interpretation, and Localization of the Universidad Intercontinental is considered one of the best in Mexico, and Latin America. Guijarro-Donadiós’s participation in this international webinar is part of the effort and work oriented toward a projected undergraduate program in translation that spotlights the World Languages Department at WSU as being one that offers relevant, cutting-edge education in translation technology.
