Film Screening and Discussion Highlight Latin Heritage Month

Three virtual events will round out the month-long celebration of Latin Heritage Month, from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. Two of the three virtual events require pre-registration and all are open to members of the community. Latin Heritage Month events are sponsored by student organization Third World Alliance, the Office of Multicultural Affairs, and the Department of History and Political Science.

On Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 5:30 p.m., students, staff and the general public are invited to the screening of “AbUsed: The Postville Raid.” The film, produced in 2011, is a moving account told by the individuals and families impacted by what is believed to be the largest immigration raid in the history of the United States.
