Patricia Marshall (Academic Affairs) was recently awarded the New England Equal Opportunity Association’s Achiever Award.
The awards are given to outstanding graduates of New England’s regional educational opportunity programs, TRIO, and other educational opportunity programs alike. It is also given to an individual who has had an impact on educational opportunity in their professional life and who has made significant civic, community, and/or professional contributions in their field.
Marshall, an alumna of the TRIO program, is being recognized as a strong, vocal supporter of equal education opportunities, and as one who upholds NEOA’s mission, which is to advocate for the availability of post-secondary education to low-income individuals, first-generation college students, and students with disabilities.
The NEOA is an organization of professionals who are actively interested in insuring equal educational opportunities in higher education.
