Morreale Joins Panel Discussions on Criminal Justice Education

Stephen A. Morreale (Criminal Justice) attended and participated in the Annual Conference of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS) in Philadelphia, Penn., in February 2014.

For a panel focused on future considerations and recommendations for criminal justice education, Morreale delivered a presentation on a paper entitled The Future for Criminal Justice Education.

Morreale also presented with David E. Lambert from the University of New Haven on research being conducted titled Leadership and Innovation: A Review of Selected Training Programs for Police Command Staff (affiliated with higher education).

Morreale chaired a panel focused on special considerations in criminal justice pedagogy.  On that panel, he presented a paper stemming from research conducted with James E. McCabe of Sacred Heart University titled Assessing Hiring Preferences and Discipline Orientation of Criminal Justice Programs.

The ACJS Conference draws more than 1,500 academics, graduate students and practitioners from across the globe.  The ACJS is affiliated with the Northeastern Association of Criminal Justice Sciences (NEACJS) and Massachusetts Association of Criminal Justice Education (MACJE). The next ACJS conference is scheduled for Denver, CO in March 2015.
