Omega Psi Chapter of Lambda Pi Eta Inducts 31 Members

Nearly 100 family members, friends and communication faculty witnessed the induction of 31 new members into the Omega Psi chapter of Lambda Pi Eta [1], the national honor society for communication students during a 2 p.m. ceremony Sunday Dec. 2 in the Blue Lounge.

To be invited to join Lambda Pi Eta, students must have completed 60 credit hours with   a 3.0 or higher GPA and at least 12 credit hours of communication courses with a GPA of 3.25 or higher. Communication majors, double majors and minors were among the inductees.

This is the second annual induction ceremony. Omega Psi, which is the name of the Lambda Pi Eta chapter at Worcester State, was formed in 2011.

Dr. Charles R. Fox, dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, addressed the inductees and their guests.

Dr. Barbara Zang, communication professor, is the chapter advisor.

A reception followed the induction ceremony.
