Katey Palumbo, director of the International Programs Office, was appointed to the Financing Education Abroad Subcommittee for NAFSA: Association of International Educators [1].
The Financing Education Abroad Subcommittee handles a number of tasks, including developing resources and training materials that provide basic information about federal financial aid and financial aid resources, ensuring that financial aid information on the Education Abroad networks is current and authoritative, and developing an effective mechanism for answering questions from the field about financial aid, including responding to inquiries posted on network forums and other venues.
Palumbo says that she is honored by her appointment, and looks forward to being able to help in a leadership role within NAFSA.
