Still Time to Participate in Homecoming Activities!

A full range of activities is planned for Homecoming Weekend Sept. 17-18 with celebrations and fun things to do for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and their families.

An important note: if you are attending any indoor events during Homecoming Weekend, mandatory face coverings will be required. Please take a moment to review the important campus safety protocols, regardless of vaccination status at https://worcester.edu/guidelines [1].

Among an array of activities will be the Distinguished Alumni Award Ceremony at 6 p.m. Sept. 17 in the Blue Lounge of the Student Center. Registration is required and you can do so by visiting https://alumni.worcester.edu/daa2021 [2].

The softball and baseball teams will be hosting an alumni day celebration at 10 a.m. from Ralph Raymond Diamond and Lyons Field. Visit https://alumni.worcester.edu/bbsb [3] to learn more. At 11 a.m., the men’s soccer team takes on MCLA from Coughlin Field.

Our Homecoming Experience will begin at 12:30 p.m. and is open to all alumni and families. This area which will be located in the Student Center parking lot on central campus and features music, lawn games, a beer/wine garden, a multicultural tent experience with performances, student club tent giveaways, family fun activity area, and more. Football alumni, former players, coaches, and staff are invited to attend a special event featuring a concierge tent on the Coughlin Field end zone. This event will have complimentary food and drinks and it will be a great opportunity to catch up with former teammates and other football greats while celebrating the retirement of Coach Cullen. Please note that there will be no tailgating allowed at Homecoming this year. No outside alcohol will be allowed on campus. The aim is to curtail excessive drinking — with special attention on undergraduate students — while maintaining a tradition of Lancer camaraderie and pride.
