Treseler to Introduce Author of New Biography on Elizabeth Bishop

Heather Treseler (English) will introduce Megan Marshall, who won the Pulitzer Prize in 2014, when she reads from her new biography, “Elizabeth Bishop: A Miracle for Breakfast,” at Harvard University [1] on Monday, February 27. Treseler was recently featured in the Worcester Telegram & Gazette [2] for her review of the book.

Additionally, an excerpt from Treseler’s manuscript of poems, “Pantheon,” was named a runner-up for the Jeffrey E. Smith Editors’ Prize at Missouri Review. Three poems from her entry, “Daphne on Being Wood,” “Persephone’s Postcard,” and “Demeter: Calendar Girl,” will be featured in the spring edition of Missouri Review.

Treseler read from this manuscript at Clark University on February 8 during her presentation, “Ut Pictura Poesis: Dreaming in the Museum.” On February 13, she will read at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute with Craig Blais, author of the award-winning “About Crows.”
