Treseler Publishes Essay about Michael Harper in ‘The Worcester Review’

Heather Treseler (English) has an essay, “The Subjective Correlative: the Poet as Pedagogue,” featured in the newest issue of The Worcester Review. (Volume 35, Michael Harper, Sacred Geometries, guest-edited by Anthony Walton and Elizabeth Muther of Bowdoin College)

In addition, Treseler recently joined the contributors to this edition on a panel about Michael Harper’s legacy as a African American poet, two-time National Book Award nominee, and professor of literature and writing at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute. The event was sponsored by the Worcester County Poetry Association.

A full-length interview and memoir essay about the Pulitzer Prize winning poet Maxine Kumin and mid-century American poetry will appear in Notre Dame Review, No. 39, Winter/Spring 2015. An excerpt of Treseler’s interview with Kumin [1] also appears in Harvard Review this month.
