For three years, Syamak Moattari (Health Sciences) has worked with some health experts and activists to conduct a breast cancer public awareness campaign in the Middle East. As a result, they started a series of workshops for a Persian-speaking audience and launched the website IranPink.com. This website is producing breast cancer awareness materials to be used in communities and health centers.
Recently, the United Nations Educational Sciences and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) recognized this site and awarded their team a Plaque of Appreciation for IranPink.com during the annual cancer conference in Tehran. UNESCO recognized this site as the best breast cancer public awareness site in the Persian language.
