The English Club sponsored a successful trip to the Emily Dickinson Museum on Saturday, May 4, which included 25 members of the Worcester State community. Students and participants took a 90-minute tour of Dickinson’s house and environs entitled, “Emily Dickinson’s World,” visited Amherst’s bookstores, and lunched in Amherst’s historical town center.
The English Club raised funds to defray the cost of the trip for all participants, and they look forward to sponsoring a similar trip again next year. The club was given official recognition this year, and its faculty co-sponsors are Matthew Ortoleva and Heather Treseler.
