Worcester State’s first ‘Fall Days of Giving’ a Huge Success

Thanks to the generosity of our faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends who made a gift to Worcester State University, we not only met the $40,000 match, but we surpassed it. To date, we have raised over $53,000, not including the match dollars, and the number continues to grow.   We can’t wait to share the true impact that was made on Oct. 26 & 27.

We also want to give a special thank you to our generous alumna, who inspired so many to give and to give a little more than usual because of her $40,000 match.

“We hoped the match would inspire others to give back to Worcester State, but the response from alumni was more than I expected,” Jodi Briggs-Pickett, Executive Director of Development, stated. “We received numerous calls from alumni asking us to thank the anonymous donor for all she was doing and who wanted to be sure their gift was received on time to be included in the match.  One alumna told me that she wished she had the resources to do the same.”

As soon as all the donations that were postmarked by Oct. 27 are received, we will be sure to announce the total amount raisedMark your calendars now for our next annual Fall Days of Giving- Oct. 26 & 27, 2022.
