On August 12, Sudha Swaminathan (Earth, Environment and Physics) gave a demonstration of infrared imaging of paintings at the Worcester Art Museum and then took the participants on the Physics at WAM tour of the museum.

She also presented a poster at the Gordon Conference on Scientific Methods in Cultural Heritage Research held in Newry, Maine, from July 27 – August 1.  The poster describes the Physics in Art course at Worcester State University and the physics tour of the Worcester Art Museum.  The co-author on the poster is Frank Lamelas (Earth, Environment and Physics).

Swaminathan has been invited to conduct a workshop for the annual meeting of the New England Association of Chemistry Teachers.
