Sharpe to Lead a Writing Workshop at Stanley Kunitz Boyhood Home

Karen Sharpe (University Advancement) is leading a one-day writing workshop, “The Poet’s Quest for the Father,” from 1 to 5 p.m. on June 14 at the Stanley Kunitz Boyhood Home, 4 Woodford St. in her hometown of Sterling.

Sharpe, a published poet, serves as chair of the annual poetry contest sponsored by Worcester Magazine, where she had worked as a contributing writer for many years. Sharpe’s writing credentials also include stints as a correspondent for the The Boston Globe and as editor and associate publisher of The Lancaster Times.

She has been named New England Journalist of the Year and her poetry has appeared in numerous publications, including Yankee Magazine.
