On Friday, May 6, WSU recognized National Nurses Day and the 35th anniversary of the Department of Nursing’s Inaugural Graduating Class with a Nursing Symposium and dedication of the Dr. Lillian R. Goodman Department of Nursing in the Ghosh Science and Technology Center.
The Dr. Lillian R. Goodman Nursing Department Naming Initiative has established an endowed fund that will provide support for undergraduate nursing student research, faculty development and other creative endeavors for generations to come.
Goodman, widely recognized for her visionary leadership in nursing education, was the founder and chair of the WSU Nursing Department from 1973 to 1991.
