Ellen Rearick (Nursing) recently received a research grant from Sigma Theta Tau International Iota Phi Chapter-at-Large to support her dissertation research, “Parents of Children Newly Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes: Experiences with Social Support and Family Management.”
The mission of Sigma Theta Tau International is to support the learning, knowledge and professional development of nurses committed to making a difference in health worldwide. Its vision is to create a global community of nurses who lead in using knowledge, scholarship, service, and learning to improve the health of the world’s people.
Rearick presented a poster on this research at the 23rd Annual Scientific Session of the Eastern Nursing Research Society in Philadelphia, Penn., on March 24.
