REPOA to Publish Makene’s Article on Children’s Rights in Tanzania

Fortunata Makene (Sociology) has written an article that was accepted for publication by REPOA Policy Research for Development titled “What is Right for Children? State Actor’s Role in the Implementation of Children Rights in Tanzania.”

Makene also has received a research grant of $250,000 from Plan International and Child Dignity Forum funded by UNFPA (through a research institute on Research for Poverty and Development—REPOA, with Makene as PI) to conduct a national survey on child marriage to analyze drivers and consequences of child marriage in Tanzania.
