Award-winning journalist and CNN chief political analyst Roland Martin will be featured at Worcester State University’s annual Courageous Conversations lecture on Thursday, March 27 at 4:30 p.m. in the Student Center Blue Lounge.
Martin is an award-winning CNN chief political analyst who received the prestigious award of ‘Journalist of the Year in 2013’ by the National Association of Black Journalists and the 2008 President’s Award for his work in multiple media platforms. He is the author of three books, Listening to the Spirit Within: 50 Perspectives on Faith, Speak, Brother! A Black Man’s View of America, and The First: President Barack Obama’s Road to the White House.
Martin has stood up and answered the call as an activist in solidarity of Trayvon Martin’s parents. His lecture will address the issues surrounding Trayvon Martin’s death and how it has awakened the inner consciousness of our American society.

This event is free and open to the public.
Additional parking will be available at the Goddard Memorial Ave satellite parking. A shuttle will be availabe to transport guests to/from the parking lot.
