Amaryllis Siniossoglou (Visual and Performing Arts) has been selected to present her artists’ books at the National Book Arts Exhibition organized by ARA- Greece (Les Amis de la Reliure d’Art). The exhibition will take place at the Municipal Kalithea Pinacotheque, in Athens, Greece from May 3-15.
She also was invited to exhibit her artwork at Kouros Gallery, New York, NY, for the show “The Other Greece,” an exhibition for the benefit of the Fulbright Foundation Greece – Scholarship Program. The show was under the auspices of the Consulate General of Greece in New York and ran from April 3 to April 28. The show was accompanied by two cultural events with the collaboration of Columbia and Fairfield Universities at Kouros Gallery: a reading from the Norton anthology of Greek poets organized by Columbia University’s Professor Karen Van Dyck and a lecture on the Caryatids by Fairfield University’s Professor Katherine Schwab
In addition, Siniossoglou has been invited to exhibit her watercolors at the 4th International Art Exhibition Day of Color. The show will take place in Thessaloniki, Greece and will travel to the Aegean islands of Chios and Skopelos during the summer, and in the city of Patras in September. The exhibition is part of a wide program of visual and performing arts events in support of the future Pinacotheque of Colors.
She was selected to exhibit her artwork at the Painting and Mixed Media Competition 2011 at Lessedra Gallery in Sofia, Bulgaria, and to exhibit her prints at the 31st Mini Print International of Cadaques 2011. The later exhibition took place at Taller Galeria Fort, in Girona, Spain. Her prints also have been exhibited at Fundacio Tharrats d’Art Grafic, Barcelona, Spain, L’ Etand’ Art, Bages, France and Wigfield Barns, Suffolk, England.
