On Thursday, April 14, the Center for Service Learning and Civic Engagement and the Intergenerational Urban Institute sponsored a Celebration of Service across the Ages.

The event, which featured keynote speaker Charles Cullum, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, focused on the many contributions our students make throughout the community and underscored the University’s growing emphasis on incorporating service learning into the curriculum.

Urban Studies Professor Maureen Power presented the Evelyn Deignan Intergenerational Leadership Award to Laken Euzibio, an Urban Studies major who coordinates the Intergenerational Urban Institute’s Hunger Outreach Team (HOT).
