Worcester State University will hold a wreath-laying ceremony on the university campus on Saturday, September 11, to mark the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The outdoor event will start at 8:45 a.m. at the September 11, 2001 Robin Kaplan ’90 Memorial Park, adjacent to the Binienda Green near the Wellness Center.

President Barry M. Maloney will open the event with a moment of silence and remarks, followed by remarks from University Advancement’s Jodi Briggs-Pickett on the life of alumna Robin J. Kaplan ’90, who perished aboard one of the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center. The ceremony concludes with the laying of a wreath on the memorial park dedicated to Robin.

The event is open to the campus community.
