Faculty Leadership Appointments for 2021–2022

The Office of Academic Affairs is pleased to announce the new and reaffirmed faculty appointments to key leadership positions at the University. These positions support student resources, academic scholarship, and majors and minors under the MajorPlus flagship initiative.

New appointments are Mark Beaudry, coordinator, Forensic Sciences minor; Mary Fowler, appointee, Faculty Fellow for Equity (FFE); Hyesun Kim, director, Asian Studies Program; Tanya Mears, director, Ethnic Studies Program; Elizabeth Osborne, director, Spanish Placement and the Spanish Clinic; Nicole Rosa, assistant director, Honors Program; Colleen Sullivan, director, First Year Seminar Program; Alex Tarr, director of the Environmental & Sustainability Studies Program; and Weichu Xu, co-coordinator, Biotechnology Program.

Reaffirmed appointments include Daron Barnard, director of the Aisiku STEM Center; Elizabeth Bidinger, coordinator, First-Year Writing; Robert Brooks, chair, Human Subject Review Board (HSRB); Allison Dunn, officer, WSU’s Research Integrity; Charles Fox, director, Liberal Arts & Sciences Curriculum; Roger Greenwell,  co-coordinator, Biotechnology Program; Vicki Gruzynski, director, Women’s Studies; Antonio Guijarro-Donadios, director, Translation Center; Daniel Hunt, director, Center for Community Media; Benjamin Jee, director, Currents in Teaching & Learning publication; Alison Okuda, coordinator, Center for the Study of Human Rights; Stacey Parker, director, Mary Cosgrove Dolphin Art Gallery; Ana Perez-Manrique, interim director, Translation Center, fall 2021; Eileen Perez, director, The Math Center; Adam Saltsman, director, Urban Action Institute; Christina Santana, director, The Writing Center; Emily Soltano, co-chair, NECHE Self Study; Emily Soltano, director, Center for Teaching and Learning; Randall Tracy, chair, Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee; Heather Treseler, appointee, WSU Presidential Fellow for Arts, Education, and Community; Elaine Vescio, director, Center for Entrepreneurship; Cleve Wiese, director, Honors Program; and Catherine Wilcox-Titus, director, Mary Cosgrove Dolphin Art Gallery.
