Mizock to Study Transgender People with Psychiatric Disabilities

In July 2012, Lauren Mizock (Psychology) received a grant from the Boston University Sargent College of Rehabilitation Sciences to conduct a research study entitled, “Stigma, Coping, and Vocational Functioning of Transgender Individuals with Psychiatric Disabilities.”

The grant is for a one-year mixed method study utilizing qualitative and quantitative research methodology to analyze the experiences of people with transgender and gender variant identities with regards to work and stigma.
