Kelly McGill Seega (Student Accessibility Services) presented a poster at the 28th Annual Postsecondary Disability Training Institute held in Philadelphia in June.
“Peer Advisory Leadership (PAL): Creating a Peer Mentoring Program within a Disability Services Office” was one of 14 posters selected for this highly regarded and sold out national conference.
Kelly noted: “Our poster drew a lot of attention from conference participants. Through highlighting Gamma Chi, our chapter of Delta Alpha Pi, the international honor society for students with disabilities, we provided a model for a peer-mentoring program in which members of the honor society provide peer support for students registered with Student Accessibility Services. I was honored to participate and share our program model with colleagues.”
