Get ready for a weekend of joy and celebration as Worcester State hosts the 2025 Alumni Reunion Weekend May 30-June 2. With a lineup of lively gatherings, special tributes, and celebratory traditions, the weekend will bring a host of opportunities to reconnect with fellow Lancers, honor generations past, and create new memories.
“Alumni Reunion Weekend is one of the most meaningful times of the year at Worcester State, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome back alumni from the classes of 1955, 1960, 1965, 1970, and 1975,” says Suzanne Nebelung, associate director of alumni relations and engagement. “We can’t wait to see classmates reconnect, share their memories, and show their Lancer pride.”
Friday, May 30: 50th and 55th Reunion Cocktail Reception
Reunion kicks off in style as members of the classes of 1970 and 1975 are invited to reunite at a Cocktail Reception on May 30, from 5-7 p.m. in the Sheehan Multipurpose Room. Hosted by President Barry M. Maloney, this festive evening will feature a cash bar, delicious hors d’oeuvres, and a slideshow of yearbook photos.
Saturday, May 31: Champagne Toast and Golden Grads Luncheon
Start your Saturday with a Champagne Toast at 10:30 a.m. on May 31 in the Sheehan Multipurpose Room. This complimentary event brings together alumni from the classes of 1955, 1960, 1965, 1970, and 1975 in celebration of enduring friendships and Lancer pride.
Following the toast, the celebration continues with the Golden Grads Luncheon from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Sheehan Dining Hall. Open to all alumni for the classes of 1975 and earlier, this lunch will include a special blessing and a touching In Memoriam tribute. Luncheon tickets are $25 per person.
Sunday, June 1: Birthday and Reunion Brunch
We invite alumni with birthdays in January through June and reunion years ending in 0 or 5 to a festive and delicious Sunday brunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 1 in the Sheehan Multipurpose Room. The brunch is free for alumni with reunion years ending in 0 and 5, and other guests are welcome for a $10 charge.
Monday, June 2: Worcester State University Foundation Golf Tournament and Dinner
Wrap up the weekend with the Worcester State Foundation Golf Tournament at Kettle Brook Golf Course. Enjoy a 10 a.m. shotgun start with dinner to follow. This event will honor the memory of coach and mentor George Albro ’65. All alumni are invited to register ($225 per golfer). A special 19th Hole Reception ($55) at 3 p.m. is offered for the class of 1965.
