Theriault Moderates Panel on Reparations for the Armenian Genocide

Henry Theriault (Philosophy) recently participated in the Armenians and Progressive Politics conference held at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on September 26-27.

Theriault acted as moderator for a discussion panel that focused on the confiscation of Armenian property during the genocide and the demand for reparations and restitution from Turkey for its role in the event. Speakers included Ümit Kurt from the Strassler Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Clark University and internationally renowned scholar and activist Noam Chomsky.

The conference was organized by the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Eastern Region USA and co-sponsored by Alternative Radio and the MIT Armenian Society.
