VPA Major Lands Role and Stage Manager Positions for Area Plays

Visual and Performing Arts major Tasha Matthews will make her forays outside of Worcester State with three spring theatre productions. From March 19-23, Tasha will take on the role of hotel maid in The Traveling Companion, part of a series titled “Hotel Plays” by Tennessee Williams. The production is part of the Tennessee Williams New Orleans Literary Festival. Tasha also earned the position of production assistant and will work exclusively with the festival curator.

On March 29, Tasha will be the stage manager for S.W.A.N. Day (Supporting Woman Artists Now), which is a two-hour showcase of readings by female artists. The event is free.

On April 27, Tasha will further hone her stage manager talents for the Proscenium Playwrights event, which features six short plays by local playwrights and with local actors.
