Worcester Poetry Pop Up to Feature WSU-affiliated Poets

Karen Sharpe (University Advancement) will be one of the poets featured at the Worcester Poetry Pop Up at City Hall on Wednesday, April 8 at 6:30 p.m..  Open mic sign-ups begin at 6 p.m.

Catherine Reed, a former Worcester State student who won the Barbara Pilon Poetry Contest in 2011, is also a featured poet, and City Manager Edward Augustus, Jr. will attend.

The event will showcase a diverse group of Worcester-based poets presenting original work, as well as their favorite poems.  It is sponsored by the city of Worcester, the Worcester Cultural Coalition, the Worcester Public Library, Worcester Public Schools, the Worcester County Poetry Association, and the Seven Hills Poetry Slam Collective.
