Worcester State University received high marks for its dorms according to Niche.com, an online college and university search engine that combines statistical analysis from the U.S. Dept. of Education and online reviews to determine a ranking and letter grade for categories including dorms, academics programs, student life, and best value.

According to the 2020 Best Value Colleges in Massachusetts results, Worcester State ranked 11 out of 58 colleges and universities in Massachusetts for its dorms and is the only state university on the list, out ranking other local colleges in Worcester. Worcester State received the letter grade B+ for dorms (residence halls).

“This ranking speaks to our commitment to continually improve our residential housing offerings for students that desire the on-campus experience,” said President Barry M. Maloney.

More than 1,400 students live on the Worcester State campus in three traditional residence halls, Dowden, Wasylean, and Sheehan halls, plus Chandler Village, townhouse-style student housing units.
